Our percussionist Darren Garvey is proud to announce the release of his solo debut Under A Common Ceiling (Quell Records) on March 30, 2010. Using some of his signature AK Trio style percussion, he has created various rhythmic beds to showcase his songwriting talents as he plays drums, bass, guitar, keys, etc and sings for the first time.

Heading to Covington, KY for four days to attend the Mid America NACA Convention (National Association for Campus Activities) at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center - Oct. 29th-Nov. 1st. While we are out there we have two performances across the Ohio River in Cincinnati, OH - Thursday, 10/29, at the Blue Wisp Jazz Club, and then Friday, 10/30, at the Blue Rock Tavern. All NACA members are invited to attend these events while in town for the convention. We will be performing a Live Photoplay at Tonic Room in Chicago to the classic silent film, Nosferatu, a German Expressionist horror film adapted from the Bram Stoker novel, Dracula, directed by F. W. Murnau. Nosferatu is the perfect movie for this "haunting season." This is a unique one-time event, so get there early!

This opportunity arose as a result of a previous engagement that took place in early October at the high school's Reber Center. The 2007 IMEA Conference performance will showcase an arrangement of 'El Mariachi' that Andreas arranged for the L.T. small group orchestra.

We especially thank Jane Ewing, L.T. Orchestra Director, for giving us the opportunity to work with her talented group of young musicians. She has inspired the trio to branch out and has helped us realize our role in the arena of Music Education.
